- Local Resources for Rental Assistance. Public housing authorities may provide rental assistance through Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers and/or public housing units. There may be waiting lists for this assistance and, at times the lists may close to new applicants based on the size and length of the waiting lists. Please contact your local housing authority for eligibility requirements and availability. Emergency housing is not available.
